How I Began Storytelling Through Resume Writing
During my former career in the telecom industry many moons ago, I worked in Network Operations alongside other colleagues. A couple of them mentioned that they wanted to pursue other opportunities and expressed how much writing wasn't their strong suit. I mentioned that I enjoyed writing and was pursuing a degree in English with a concentration in Journalism at the time and offered to write their resumes. They both landed interviews a few days after they sent their new resumes out and eventually the news spread like wildfire in my department (and others) that I was the 'go-to resume lady'. I loved the feeling I got from helping people achieve their career goals and launched my part-time resume writing business (originally named Credentials Resume Service).
Since that time, technology has evolved. Now, my job as a Resume Writer is to help you land INTERVIEWS through strategic writing that will make your resume pass ATS and AI screening so it can viewed by a HUMAN. This is easier said than done but doable.

- Studied English with a Journalism concentration at NCCU, Durham, NC

- In my full-time profession, I write for a living in the corporate sector. I work in the technology industry as a hybrid User Experience (UX) Writer and Technical Writer with marketing communications work experience. My 15+ year Communications career has entailed me leading communication teams and working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering and Marketing departments as a Lead Technical Writer, UX/UI Writer, and Marketing Communications Manager.
