How I Began Storytelling Through Resume Writing
During my former career in the telecom industry, I worked in a technical role alongside other colleagues in my department. A couple of them mentioned that they wanted to pursue other opportunities and expressed how much writing wasn't their strong suit.

I mentioned to my two coworkers that I enjoyed writing and was pursuing a degree in English with a concentration in Journalism at the time. I figured since I worked with them in the same role and had in-depth knowledge of the industry in which we worked, that I'd offer to revamp their resumes. I scheduled a time to interview them to learn more about their career objectives and other details. Next, I wrote a polished resume that told their stories in a truthful, strategic, and engaging way to get a hiring manager's attention. Both of my coworkers landed an interview a few days after they sent their resumes out and eventually the news spread like wildfire in my department (and others) that I was the 'go-to resume lady'. I loved how I felt helping people by contributing to their livelihood and career goals and launched my part-time resume writing business (originally named Credentials Resume Service).
